A Spokane-based restaurant known for its 36-martini menu has signed on as the first culinary tenant for one of the largest waterfront developments underway in the metro region. 

Twigs Bistro and Martini Bar has signed a lease with Columbia Waterfront LLC to be the first restaurant at Grant Street Pier at The Waterfront Vancouver. The entire five-million-square-foot development, a project of Gramor DevelopmentInc., will include about 250,000 square feet of space for retail and other mixed-use space.

Portland's residential real estate recovery marched forward in 2015. 

In 2014, the region witnessed a modest year-over-year uptick in home sales of 3 percent. That growth rate surged to 20 percent in 2015 as 33,253 homes were sold in the greater Portland metro area.
